More Than Half of Denials in Veterans Benefits Claims May Be Incorrect According to Study

According to an article published by Rick May at airforcetimes.com, An independent study by the National Center for Policy Analysis released in December reported that almost one-third of VA claims are denied and that over half of those denials are made in error.  The Veterans Affairs Department has stated that it disagrees with this study.

If the results of this study are correct, it is especially concerning given that the VA reports that only ten percent of veterans who received denials filed a notice of disagreement this past year.  If the decisions are erroneous and few veterans are contesting the decisions, then many veterans are not receiving benefits to which they are entitled for their service to our county.

Perkins Studdard is proud to be able to offer assistance to veterans whose claims for veterans benefits have been denied.  Travis Studdard and Jason Perkins are both accredited to represent veterans and prosecute claims for veterans’ benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  If you or someone you know has applied for veterans benefits and been denied, please feel free to contact us for a free consultation by filling out the “Need Help” form or calling the phone number on the right side of this page.

What if I have more questions about my VA claim?

I understand you want your VA claim to be done as quickly as possible. But remember the ultimate goal – to win your VA disability compensation claim.

You may eventually get there on your own, but it may be after a series of decisions by the Regional Office and Board of Veterans Appeals. Sometimes claims are appealed and remanded several times, which can cause a claim to drag on for years. If you are interested in avoiding unnecessary delay in your claim and want to do everything you can to maximize your chances of success, it is probably a good idea for you to consult with an accredited veterans disability attorney.

We would be happy to talk to you. If you would like a free consultation with our Perkins Studdard veterans disability attorneys just click here or give us a call to begin the process.
